Window seats
We had a fun afternoon visiting Old Town Alexandria with Nana Sharon. Here we are enjoying frozen yogurt in a coffee shop while people watching from our window seats.
Time with Papa & Nana
Rachel’s Papa and Nana came for a visit, and she got to spend lots of time with them. Fun!
Manassas
David and I went on a Saturday date to visit the Manassas National Battlefield Park where two Civil War battles took place. The park was celebrating the 148th anniversary of the First Battle of Manassas (or Bull Run), which took place July 21, 1861. It was here that Confederate General Thomas Jonathan Jackson earned his nickname “Stonewall”, and his statue overlooks the battlefield.
Water bowl
The simplest things are the most fun! Rachel discovered Dolley’s water bowl and gave herself a little bath 
First beach trip
Rachel felt sand between her toes for the first time last weekend when we visited a beach along the Potomac River. She really enjoyed swinging on the swing set near the beach. And Dolley had a great time retrieving balls in the river.
