Earlier this month we took a wonderful trip to the northern neck of the Chesapeake Bay. It was our first trip with Rachel (and Dolley came along, too!) The Lord richly blessed us with a week of rest and spiritual refreshment. We had lots of laughter and adventures. More pics to come!

Rachel is one busy little girl. Some of her favorite activities include: jumping in her doorway jumper, sitting in Daddy’s leather chair, listening to music online with Daddy, getting dried off from a bath with Mommy, and petting her doggie Dolley.

We celebrated Dolley’s first birthday last month. She invited one guest — her friend Brooklyn from across the back fence. The two of them had a great time racing around the yard while we enjoyed Dolley’s birthday cake with Brooklyn’s parents, our neighbors Wayne and Cecily. Unfortunately, Dolley wasn’t allowed to actually eat any of the cake :(

We’ve had some technical difficulties here at verheyhome.com which have kept us from updating the blog. But we’re back online now – and as you’ll see, Rachel Anne is growing up so fast. She’s such an amazing gift from the Lord!
