We celebrated our 2nd anniversary this week on April 22. “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” Psalm 126:3.

My dear sisters in Christ at Capitol Hill Baptist Church threw me a wonderful baby shower last month. I was so blessed. Thanks to all who worked to make this such a special, God-glorifying time. And thank you to everyone who showered me with love and gifts for our little girl.

David took me to a fabulous new restaurant for an early birthday celebration last night where I enjoyed my favorite dessert: strawberry shortcake I praise God for the gift of 28 years of life, and especially for the new life He has given me in the Lord Jesus Christ!

I had lunch yesterday with Brooke Leighty (who is expecting her first baby later this month) and Savannah McMurray, two friends from church. The conversation centered around babies (go figure!). Savannah’s darling 3-month-old son, Joshua, joined us for all that girltalk.
