First beach trip
Rachel felt sand between her toes for the first time last weekend when we visited a beach along the Potomac River. She really enjoyed swinging on the swing set near the beach. And Dolley had a great time retrieving balls in the river.





Frying Pan Farm Park
We took a fun family trip to a local park to see baby farm animals and a horse show. The highlight was getting to watch a peacock open his tail feathers. Wow!




Caught!
Things got really quiet one morning, and I found Rachel gleefully pulling baby wipes out of the dispenser…

New trick
Rachel has discovered she can hold toys in her mouth while crawling around. Here she is with one of her new nesting blocks from Great Grandmother Betsey.

Not the grass, please!
Rachel doesn’t like the feeling of grass on her little legs — so she does this funny leg-lift move to reduce her level of grass contact!

Green Spring Farm
We spent part of a Saturday at Green Spring Farm, a former colonial estate that’s now a county park. What a fun family time — complete with a Rachel meltdown
Parenthood is a joy and a gift from the Lord!
